Participants

Participants will perform in masterclasses, receive chamber coachings, participate in clinics and perform with chamber ensembles and the CTS Trombone Choir on our Final Concert. Participants will also be engaged in a variety of other events such as daily warmup sessions and special gatherings throughout the week. Each participant will receive 2 lessons with CTS faculty members. Acceptance to the seminar for all participants is by a recorded audition. Eligible applicants for participation are undergraduate/graduate-level tenor and bass trombonists. In some cases, CTS may accept younger applicants as participants based on their playing level together with supporting recommendation letters. Please see the APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION page for more details. Tuition for Participants is $730 (room and board not included in tuition costs). Please see APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION for information regrading housing. We accept trombonists ages 16 and older.

Associates

Applicants may also attend the seminar as Associates. Associates receive 1 lesson during the seminar from a member of our faculty. Associates will play with the CTS Trombone Choir and a chamber ensemble. A few Associates will also be selected to perform in a masterclass. Otherwise, students enrolled as Associates take part in all seminar activities as the Participants. Acceptance for Associates is by a recorded audition. Tuition for Associates is $480 (room and board not included in tuition costs). Please see the APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION page for more details. We accept trombonists ages 16 and older

Auditors

Students, educators and trombone enthusiasts may audit masterclasses, chamber coachings, rehearsals and clinics at the seminar. Auditors may participate in our morning group warmup sessions, presented by our Faculty members. No audition is required for auditors. The cost for auditing the seminar is $45/day ($35/day if you wish to audit 3 or more days). Some applicants who auditioned for Associate/Participant spots, but attend as Auditors, will be invited to perform on selections with the CTS choir on the Final Concert. Auditors should contact Whitney Clair to complete their registration process, prior to their first day of auditing CTS (whitney@clevelandtromboneseminar.org). We welcome auditors of all ages.
