Sample Schedule for Participants/Associates/Auditors:
9am: Warm-up led by CTS Faculty Members
10:15am: CTS Choir Rehearsal
11:30am: Mastarclass
1pm: Lunch Break
2pm: Faculty Recital or masterclass
3:30pm: Chamber Ensemble Coachings and Rehearsals
5pm: Clinic
6:30pm: Dinner get-togethers and outings; Giving our students, faculty and staff an opportunity to catch up in a casual setting.
Participants
(Acceptance to the seminar for all Participants is by a recorded audition)
Perform in 2 masterclasses
Receive 2 private lessons with CTS faculty
Perform in chamber coachings
Attend and participate in clinics
Perform with a chamber ensemble
Perform with the CTS Choir
Engage in daily warmup sessions held by our faculty
Join after-hours get-togethers and round-table discussions.
Eligible applicants for participation are undergraduate/graduate-level tenor/bass trombonists, and tubists. In some cases, CTS may accept younger applicants as participants based on their playing level. Please see the APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION page for more details. Tuition for Participants is $815 (room and board not included in tuition costs). Please see APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION for information regrading housing. We accept trombonists ages 16 and older.
Associates

A few Associates may be selected to perform in a masterclass
Perform in chamber coachings

Perform with the Associates Ensemble
Perform with the CTS Choir

Students enrolled as Associates take part in all seminar activities as the Participants. Acceptance for Associates is by a recorded audition. Tuition for Associates is $515 (room and board not included in tuition costs). Please see the APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION page for more details. Auditors
Students, educators and trombone enthusiasts may audit masterclasses, chamber coachings, rehearsals and clinics at the seminar. Auditors may participate in our morning group warmup sessions, presented by our Faculty members. No audition is required for auditors. The cost for auditing the seminar is $50/day ($40/day if you wish to audit multiple days). Auditors who auditioned for Associate/Participant spots, but attend as Auditors, may be invited to perform on selections with the CTS Choir on the Final Concert. Auditors should contact Whitney Clair to complete their registration process, prior to their first day of auditing CTS (whitney@clevelandtromboneseminar.org). We welcome auditors of all ages.
